GloNations Glow in the Dark Fabric Paint Directions for Use.

                      GloNation’s Fabric paint is a water base material that is specifically designed for fabrics. It is impregnated with our explosive glow in the dark powders which will amaze you with its glow longevity and intensity. It is very simple to use. Just follow the instructions below and you will be creating exciting garments for yourself, family and friends. Use it on T-shirts, Hat, jeans, shoes and any type of fabric.

                      1) Create your design and brush on, we suggest using stencils they make great garments, they are easy to find, and inexpensive.

                      2)  Apply two to three coats of paint. Allow the paint to dry between each application. This will build up the glow paint and give longer and brighter glows.

                      3)  GloNations fabric paint comes uncolored except the orange and yellow because they have dyes. If using any of the other paint it is normal for them to be off white or white. You can add the pigment color of your choice. Use water base acrylic and we suggest you use the closest color to the glow color.

                      4)  After garment is dry to the touch YOU MUST HEAT CURE THIS PAINT. If you do not the paint will come off and ruin your garment.  Use an iron to heat set the pigment. Turn the garment inside out and on a medium setting go over the painted areas reverse side for 3 to 5 minutes. Pressing down firmly with the iron. Make sure you reach all the painted areas. Then turn the garment right side out and cover the design with a clean set of paper towels. Apply heat again. 3-5 minutes. This will ensure a good set for the paint.

                      5)  For items that can not be ironed you can heat set the garment with a commercial clothes dryer. Dry on high heat for 50-60 minutes.

Washing and Drying:

                      Let paint dry thoroughly (at least 4 days) before washing.
                      Hand-washing will dramatically increase garment life.
                      Always turn garment inside-out for laundering.
                      Avoid hot water washing. This will tend to soften and loosen acrylic paint from the garment.
                      Cold water works best for automatic washing of the painted garment.
                      Heat-set when appropriate.
                      Set washer to gentle cycle.
                      Drip-drying instead of using the clothes dryer will increase the life of the garment.

                      Please Note:

                     The blue fabric paint because of its chemical make up is thinner than the other paints and will require more coats. Put a few paper towels behind the design and apply a thin coat. Allow to dry. You will now have a base and can apply addition coats to get the desired effect and thickness you want.
